Steven LeBoeuf, Ph.D. President & CEO As the founder and CEO of Valencell, Inc., Steven has developed commercial and academic partnerships with many businesses and institutions. He has raised more than $10M in funding and is the inventor/co-inventor of more than 50 patents. Prior to Valencell, Steven led the optoelectronic biosensor program at GE Global Research. He developed optoelectronic solid-state materials and devices while researching at North Carolina State University. Steven holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from N.C. State and a B.S. in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.

Dr. Jesse Tucker, Ph.D. Vice President of Engineering With over 20 patents for his designs, Jesse has developed and prototyped solid-state devices, wireless electronics, and biomedical sensor modules. As a technical lead at GE Global Research, he managed more than $11M in corporate and government R&D programs with a focus on SiC high temperature electronics, RF devices, and power devices and packaging. Jesse holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University.

Michael Aumer, Ph.D. Vice President of Product Management With more than 10 patents to his credit, Mike is responsible for product management initiatives for Valencell. Prior to Valencell, he managed budgets over $3M while transitioning innovative electronics technology from R&D to production at Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems. Mike holds several degrees including a M.S. in Technical Management from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D., M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University.

Todd Ackman Vice President of Finance Todd previously served as Vice President of Finance at Inlet Technologies, where he supported the company’s $95M acquisition by communications giant Cisco. Todd has held management positions as Director of Finance for Quintiles and Senior Accounting Analyst at PBS&J. He has auditing experience with international CPA firms and is a licensed CPA in Florida. Todd holds a B.S. in Accounting from Bradley University.

Chris Eschbach, Ph.D., HFS, CSCS Sports Science Consultant Founder at The Human Performance Laboratory, LLC. Chris Eschbach serves as a Sports Science Consultant for Valencell, bringing extensive experience in both the scientific and applied sciences aspects of wellness, weight loss, fitness and sports performance. As the Director and Senior Exercise Physiologist at The Human Performance Laboratory, LLC., Chris guides assessment and training programs to help clients succeed. He currently works as an Associate Professor of Exercise Science at North Carolina Wesleyan and previously as the Chair of the Department of Nutrition, Health and Human Performance at Meredith College. Dr. Eschbach has a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology and M.S. in Human Performance from University of Southern Mississippi and a B.S. in Zoology from Western Illinois University.
